Liquimix Anti-Lapping Solution for Rubber Cots

A two-component anti-lapping compound that extends the working life of rubber cots on ring frames and draw frames. Applied to clean, dry top rollers, it reduces lapping and keeps cot surfaces performing consistently between grinds.

How it is used

• Supplied as Solution 1 and Solution 2. Mix one measure of Solution 1 to three measures of Solution 2.
• Use the mixture within 11 to 12 hours of mixing.
• Clean and dry the top rollers thoroughly first. MEK, CTC or petrol may be used. Results are better when applied straight after grinding.
• Clamp the top roller in a slow-rotating lathe or grinding machine and brush the solution on evenly, without letting droplets form on the surface.
• Allow 8 hours drying. Do not rest the rollers on their treated surface during this time.
• Any wax deposits appearing after a few hours of running can be wiped off with a soft cloth dipped in carbon tetrachloride or petrol.

Safety

• Pour Solution 1 slowly into dry containers to avoid splashing.
• Use only in a well-ventilated room.
• Always wear gloves. Gloves are supplied with the product.
• Solution 1 reacts aggressively with water, alcohol and ketonic products.
• Store in a cool, dark place.
