Amber Charkha – 8 Spindle

The eight spindle Amber Charkha has been running successfully in the field across India for the past 14–15 years. It was designed so that the two extra spindles add no more effort to turn than a six spindle machine, and high drafting was deliberately left out because it causes a decline in the quality of the yarn produced.

Because the machine is light to turn, a higher R.P.M. can be maintained, so it gives more production than a six spindle charkha.
